Half Of A Yellow Sun Film Adaptation

If you haven’t heard of the Orange Broadband Prize winning author, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie, I do not know which rock you have been hiding under. It is official; the literary masterpiece, “Half of a Yellow Sun” is to be adapted into a film. The likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Vivica. A, Fox, Thandie Newton and Jimmy Jean Louis are to star in the Movie.

Based on the Biafran war period (1967-1970) in Nigeria, Half of a Yellow Sun features the story of two sisters Olanna and Kainene and focuses on their relationship during the tragic unfolding of events.

The film will be produced by the BAFTA winning producer of the “Last King of Scotland”, Andrea Calderwood and Oscar winning producer Gail Egan, of the film, “The Constant Gardener”.
